Liverpool Echo Arena

Liverpool Echo Arena is located on King’s Dock in Liverpool. Designed by Wilkinson Eyre architects, it’s the eleventh largest arena in the UK. It is also one of the most sustainable venues in Europe. There are features across the complex to control electricity usage, light and temperature and it also harvests rainwater for toilet flushing. There are wind turbines on the River Mersey which contribute to its electricity supply. The Arena has received several architectural and environmental awards.

The Arena is capable of hosting a wide range of events including conventions, sporting events, children’s entertainment and music concerts. Since the Arena opened in 2008 it has hosted several big names in music including Sir Paul McCartney and KISS. It has also hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards, the MOBO Awards, the Premier League Darts and X Factor auditions.

With excellent road and rail links from around England, as well as air links via Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Liverpool Arena is a very popular venue for events and exhibitions. The Liverpool Waterfront Car Park, with 1.600 spaces, is situated alongside the Arena, allowing ample parking, and buses and coaches operate within 5 minutes’ walk of the venue.
