ExCeL London v2

ExCeL London

As one of the top exhibition centres in the UK, ExCel London attracts exhibitors from all over the world to make use of the high quality facilities. Situated on the banks of the River Thames in the area known as London Docklands, the building is a striking backdrop for everything from sports to fan conventions.

Relatively new amongst it's competitors, this venue only opened in 2000. Boasting an impressive 100,000m² total space, it provided the perfect hub for the Summer Olympics 2012. Hosting this wonderful sporting phenomenon further promoted it's ability to suit the needs of varied clients. Flexible spaces mean a variety of activities can take place simultaneously if required, with conveniently located amenities reinforcing the visitor experience. Organisers have used this large venue to host their area of special interest. Creative design shows enjoy the blank canvas inside as a starting point for our design stand creation. Sports events planners can ask us to set up the perfect lighting to maximise the audience view.

Ample parking and nearby public transport makes its situation in the heart of the capital a brilliant choice. Visitors can fly, drive or travel by train with minimal fuss to reach this well-coordinated site. Few premises of this type can claim to have three railway stations on-site, but here Docklands Light Railway makes this possible. A five minute journey from London City airport is another benefit making travelling here from abroad exceptionally easy. With the ExCel formed of clean, simple lines and cavernous arenas, exhibitors have a huge scope for presenting their brand. Meridian can seamlessly connect your lighting and stands into the wider context of the setting.

Choosing a stand to compete in this location presents many considerations. Concept and style can be tailored to meet you needs to make the most of your floor position. Putting together a unique structure through either design stands or a pragmatic shell scheme, we work with our clients every step of the way to achieve well-thought-out promotion. Poster boards, unusual lighting positioning and angled overheads can achieve dramatically results. With shows usually just a few days long, getting a message over to the visitor from across the hall is paramount. Making a lasting impression is important and our passion translates into an individual, carefully developed plan.

London ExCel has had great success since its introduction into the conference and convention hosting industry. It's conception involved making sure ample facilities met the needs of organisers, exhibitors and visitors. To provide comfortable access and enjoyment of the wide variety of events it hosts, there are six hotels on site. Walking all that square footage is hungry work and this has also been given proper thought, with in excess of 30 bars and restaurants to keep everyone satisfied. The vast amount of land secured for this project allowed for the creation of nearly 4000 vehicle parking spaces on the campus. With all this innovation and purpose-built design, it's understandable that the centre won a British Superbrand Award in 2011.
