Bournemouth International Centre

The Bournemouth International Centre, or BIC, is situated overlooking Bournemouth’s famous beach, close to the pier and gardens. It’s one of the largest venues for conferences, events and exhibitions in southern England. It opened in 1984 and has the largest licensed capacity on the south coast, catering for up to ten thousand visitors.

The BIC has four halls: the Purbeck Hall; Windsor Hall; Solent Hall and Tregonwell Hall. It has hosted numerous conferences for associations, trade shows and corporate events. They also have their own in-house exhibitions team which puts together several annual exhibitions. The BIC has famously hosted several national conferences of major political parties since opening.

The Windsor Hall has a capacity of almost 4100 and is one of the largest indoor music venues in the UK. For this reason it is often included in arena tours of major recording artists. When utilised for exhibitions, it has 2025 square metres of air-conditioned, purpose-built event space for up to four thousand delegates. There is a versatile electrical layout to allow temporary power to stands in any location around the hall, and also has water and waste services as well as a balcony area with lift access.

The Solent Hall is the newest space in the BIC, replacing the swimming pool that was there until 2004. This hall boasts a beautiful view over the bay, with no pillars, fixed seating or stage so it’s a perfect 1250 square metres of free space for exhibitions

The BIC boasts theatre seating for up to four thousand people and exhibition hall floor space totalling 6,982 square metres. As well as this it has its own car park which has 650 spaces.
