The Business Design Centre in Islington is perhaps better known as the Royal Agricultural Hall  and has an interesting and varied past. Built in 1862, it is a Grade II listed building and was the home of the Smithfield Show until 1938. It also hosted the Royal Tournament from 1880 until the event became too large and moved to Olympia in the early 20th century. It also famously hosted the first ever Crufts dog show in 1891. During the Second World War it was commandeered by the Government, and after the Mount Pleasant sorting office was destroyed in an air raid the Parcels Depot was moved to the Royal Agricultural Hall. After the end of the War the hall remained unused until 1986, when it was refurbished and converted for use as the Business Design Centre.

The Business Design Centre is now home to over one hundred businesses, including Barbour and Samsung. The Centre is host to the London Art Fair, the largest contemporary art fair in the UK, each year.

The Business Design Centre boasts venue spaces for all sizes of events - from small meetings to conferences for up to 2000 delegates. The available exhibition space is up to 6000 square metres and the space is extremely flexible. The Centre provides a dedicated event manager to ensure the smooth running of events for both organisers and exhibitors.

Located just ten minutes from Kings Cross St Pancras International, the Centre is in a prime location for events of all sizes, hosting over 300 of them every year.
